The New Palestine gymnastics team defeated visiting Rushville 104.85-92.95 Monday evening.

Kenzi Hoffman won the vault (9.25 points), bars (8.725) and beam (9.025) en route to capturing the all-around crown with a score of 36.15 for the Dragons. Hoffman was also second in the floor.

Kate Fee took first in the floor (9.175) and placed second in the vault, bars, beam and all-around.

Fourth-place finishers for NP were Maddie Wallace (vault), Shelly Huesman (bars, all-around), Kyle Zehner (beam) and Annabelle Dockins (floor).

The Dragons are at Hagerstown for a tri-meet with Muncie South today.

New Palestine’s last home meet will be Tuesday vs. Franklin Central and Richmond. The meet is a make-up for one that was cancelled in January.

During that meet, the team will be having a leukemia-themed night to raise money for former NP cheerleader/gymnast Liza Angelicchio, who is battling leukemia.
