The Mt. Vernon boys swimming and diving team handled Hagerstown 137-33 Thursday evening.
Cole Case (200 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Dixon Tierney (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke) and Ethan Park (500 freestyle, 100 backstroke) were double winners for MV.
Matthew Bauchert (200 individual medley), Colin Harrison (50 freestyle) and Zach Ball (diving) also prevailed.
The Marauder girls also won, taking down Hagerstown 121-62.
Maddie Powell (200, 500 freestyle), Haley Moore (50 freestyle, 100 backstroke), Samantha Russell (200 individual medley) and Gloria Gonzales (100 breaststroke) notched first-place finishes.
Cougars split with Pendleton
Drew Logan won all four of his events as the Greenfield-Central boys swimming and diving team topped Pendleton Heights 121-63 Thursday.
Logan took first in 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay.
Isaak Tow (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay) pulled in three wins.
Justin Miller won the 100 breaststroke. Jordan Cermak, Blake Carlton, Nathan Graber and A.J. Shelton claimed the 200 freestyle relay.
Jacob Keener and Graber were on the 200 medley relay, while Cermak, Graber and Shelton were on the 400 freestyle relay.
“This was a great team win after a good week of practice,” G-C coach Mark Logan said.
On the girls side, the Cougars fell 102-83.
Krista Zornes took the 100 freestyle for Greenfield-Central, and teamed up with Hannah Reynolds, Ashley Finney and Holly Curry to win the 200 medley relay.
“We adjusted to some different races tonight,” G-C coach Emily Logan said. “The team is doing a nice job of really working hard and focusing on the small details.”
