The Greenfield-Central girls soccer team had its best scoring effort in over a year while handling Greenwood 11-1 Monday.
Emily Koers had two goals and two assists, Reagan Collins added two goals, Kylie Smith had three assists and Katie Helgason notched a goal and two assists as G-C tallied its highest goal output since defeating the Woodmen 11-0 on Sept. 10, 2012.

Mt. Vernon 185, Warren Central 201, Greenfield-Central 205
The Marauders’ Hannah and Molly Yee carded 43s to earn medalist honors Monday.
Bailey Fleming (49) and Ellen Wuerch (50) rounded out the MV scoring.
“A tough night on the course tonight. We’re still sluggish from our busy week last week; tonight was our fifth match in seven days. The girls are looking forward to a couple of days of practice this week,” Mt. Vernon coach Caleb Zelencik said. “Hannah and Molly played well. They were able to keep the ball in play and out of the trees.
“Maple Creek requires precision shots to navigate the narrow fairways. The other girls had some control issues that hurt.”
Megan Garner (47), Makenzie Fisk (49), Nicole Morley (53) and Sarah Maloney (56) were G-C’s top four.
New Palestine 184, Pendleton Heights 201
Abby Poole garnered medalist honors by firing a 37 Monday, good for a new female course record at The Links.
Carly Jones returned to action and shot a 48. Sarah Rose had a 49 and Cassie Rooks 50.
“It was a cold night for golf, but Abby was still hot collecting two birdies and a new home course female golf record of 37,” NP coach Gregg Greene said. “It was great to have Carly back after two weeks and she responded with a 48 including a birdie on 4.
“The colder temps and wind played havoc with our girls in their club selection and distances. We will have to review these factors as well as some others before sectional on Saturday.”
