The Eastern Hancock wrestling team recently placed 11th out of 18 teams at the Ben Davis Super 16 tournament.

Hunter Knopp placed fifth at 160 pounds for EH, while Nathan Kell (138), Kenny Delph (182) and Josh Ramage (195) all placed sixth.

The Royals are at the Shenandoah Invitational Saturday.

For the second consecutive year, Greenfield-Central is participating in the Barefoot for Bare Feet Movement.  On Jan. 12 in a home game vs. Triton Central, the G-C boys basketball coaching staff will leave their shoes behind and join thousands of coaches across the country in supporting Samaritan’s Feet and their continued fight to provide new shoes and socks to children in need.

G-C boys varsity coach Josh Johnson and his staff will go shoeless for what they hope will lead to over 100 children receiving new shoes and socks this winter in Indiana.  The basketball program is looking to raise at least $1,000.

Samaritan’s Feet’s goal is to provide 10 million pairs of shoes to children in the next 10 years.

Donations can be made to GCHS team page at www.samaritansfeet.org. All donations will receive an email back with a receipt.
