The Eastern Hancock girls’ golf team picked up its first win of the year, finishing in front of Blue River Valley in a three-way meet Monday.
Knightstown took first place with a 219 ahead of the Royals (230) and BRV (256).
Hailey Carlton 55, Breanna Jones 57 and Rachel Boaz 58 led Eastern Hancock, which improved 19 strokes over its season-opening loss at Wapahani Thursday.
“Most of us upped our scores by at least five shots,” EH coach Chelsie Kelley said. “It was a great improvement.”
Eastern Hancock will collect canned food for donation at Thursday’s volleyball scrimmage against visiting New Palestine.
The scrimmage begins at 5 p.m.
Admission is two canned goods or $2.
