Prep Notes: EH wrestling competes at Union County

Recently, the Eastern Hancock wrestling team competed in the Union County Invitational.

The Royals, whose squad is made up of four freshmen, three sophomores and five juniors, defeated Randolph Southern for their only team win on the day. EH got pins from junior Nathan Kell and Matt Bowman in the match.

Juniors Josh Ramage, Hunter Knopp, Kenny Delph and freshman Jared Waterman picked up wins against Blackford.

Bowman, Delph, Kell and Knopp also notched victories against Knightstown.

The Royals are at Lapel Wednesday.


The deadline to sign up for the New Palestine boys Future Stars league is Friday. The league is for boys in grades 3 through 6. Practices and games begin in early January.

Tickets are on sale for the MV boys game against New Castle at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday, Dec. 8. Tickets are $10 if you buy them from MV or $12 at the door. Tickets will be sold through 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7 in the athletic office during school hours and at home basketball games.


Sports, INC. will be holding a third, fourth and fifth grade girls team league. Both leagues are scheduled to start Sunday, Dec. 9. All games will be played on Sundays.

Cost is $350 per team and each team is guaranteed a minimum of 10 games.

All games are held at the Anderson Sports Center in Anderson.

Sports, INC will also be holding a first and second grade Instructional Clinic starting Tuesday, Jan. 8. Only have eight spots remain available for this league.
