NP seniors Bryson Basaran and Lauren Joray have signed their letters of intent to play soccer at Wright State University and Indiana University, respectively.
Basaran was the leading scorer on the Dragons’ team both his junior and senior years. He had 12 goals and five assists in the 2012 season to help lead the Dragons to a 10-7-1 record and runner-up finishes in both the Hoosier Heritage Conference and the sectional. As a junior, he had 23 goals and six assists for an HHC championship team.
Joray had a team-high 11 goals and nine assists in 2012. As a junior, she had 19 goals and seven assists and helped lead the Dragons to an undefeated regular season and a sectional championship.

New Palestine High School is going to Go Red for the American Heart Association today.
All fans are encouraged to wear red in a “Red-Out” during the Dragons’ boys basketball game against Mt. Vernon.
Also, red T-shirts will be available for a $10 donation to the American Heart Association. The event is being sponsored by the NPHS Student Council.
Tipoff is 6 p.m. for the JV and 7:30 p.m. for the varsity game. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
