New Palestine graduate and Notre Dame junior Pat Feeney finished fourth in the 400 meters (46.03) on the final day of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the University of Arkansas, garnering All-American honors.
In Friday’s preliminaries, Feeney broke the program record with a time of 45.92.
Earlier in the season, Feeney established the Irish 400 indoor mark at 46.12, only to have it broken by sophomore Chris Giesting. Giesting finished eighth (46.99) Saturday, and was also named an All-American.
University of Houston senior Errol Nolan was first (45.75). Oregon’s Mike Berry was second (45.83) and Hugh Graham Jr. of Florida was third (46.01).
