Winners of the L.A.D. Coloring Contest celebrated by having lunch with Susan Nichter, Harris Elementary School social worker. Winners from Brenda Bryant's class were (from left) Layla Henderson, David Allen and Alicia Livengood. L.A.D. is a puppy puppet that visits every first-grade class at Harris to teach study skills with Nichter. His name is an acronym for Listen Carefully, Ask and Answer Questions and Do Your Best. Students learn about the listening position, the proper way to ask and answer questions and the many ways to do their best.
