Generosity by the armful: Eden Elementary students and staff were encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the Hancock County Food Pantry during the week of Dec. 10. For each can or other food item that was brought in, the student could wear a hat for the day. Everything from graduation mortarboards, Disney character hats, to hard hats and baseball caps were worn in the classrooms, in order to encourage the spirit of generosity. Mysti Scott and Breanna Denny, both second-graders, are two of the students who donated canned goods to the Eden Food Drive.
