INDIANAPOLIS — Hancock County’s lawmakers had nothing but praise Monday for Republican Mike Pence’s announcement that state Rep. Sue Ellspermann would be his running mate in Indiana’s gubernatorial race.
Ellspermann, of Ferdinand in southwestern Indiana, is a freshman lawmaker and sat next to Greenfield’s Rep. Bob Cherry the last two sessions. She has also worked with Sen. Beverly Gard on environmental legislation.
Greenfield’s Republican lawmakers say Ellspermann’s intelligence is her forte.
