GREENFIELD — Festivities for this year’s Riley Festival officially kick off Sunday. Fourteen Hancock County girls will be vying for the title of festival queen Sunday night at Greenfield-Central High School.

“We’re always excited for the queen pageant and the Riley Festival,” said Christa Pike, queen contest chair. “We hope everyone comes out and enjoys the festival with us.”

Pike said the pageant will stick with many of its time-honored traditions, such as the outfit-of-choice round; the on-stage question-and-answer; and formal attire, but the girls’ behind-the-scenes experience was quite new this year.
