New Palestine, last year’s 4A No. 1-ranked team, hosted Scecina in a scrimmage Friday. Blake Luker (No. 8 in photos) is expected to be the Dragons’ starting quarterback when they open the season Friday at Whiteland.

Elsewhere around Hancock County, Eastern Hancock traveled to Centerville, Greenfield-Central visited Tri-West and Mt. Vernon hosted Speedway.
