NEW PALESTINE — Saying he has some big shoes to fill, New Palestine’s Michael Vawter has reopened the automotive repair shop his uncle ,Orville Vawter, ran successfully for more than 20 years.
The shop, located at the east side of New Palestine on U.S. 52, had been closed for several weeks following Orville’s death May 24.
After weeks of contemplating whether to reopen the shop, the family decided to give its blessing to Michael to carry on the family name and business.
