NEW PALESTINE — When Debbie Norris talks about dating violence, she doesn’t have to cite statistics.
She doesn’t read data from state reports or tell a story of faceless numbers. She just talks about her daughter.
Heather Norris of Indianapolis was murdered by her estranged high school boyfriend in 2007. She was 20.
Wednesday, Norris will tell her daughter’s story at New Palestine High School during a joint program by the high school’s Speak Out against Dating Violence student group and Alternatives Inc., a non-profit organization that seeks to raise awareness about domestic violence and sexual assault.
