G-C girls relay 10th

The Greenfield-Central 1,600 relay of Becca Flora, Regan Lewis, Amanda Flora and Savannah Girolami finished 10th in the Class 4A-6A State Finals, setting a new school indoor record time of 4:12.17 in the process.

“I was very pleased with the ladies’ performance. We were seeded 15th and left everything out on the track,” G-C coach Jan Hacker said. “I could not have asked for anything more from such an outstanding group.”

In individual events, Girolami was 20th in the 400. Lewis finished with no height cleared in the high jump.

For the Greenfield boys, Tyler Beeson and Logan Addington took ninth and 21st in the shot put, respectively.
