GREENFIELD — Mayor Dick Pasco, who was diagnosed with a recurrence of liver cancer last week, has died.

Brent Lawson, a member of the Greenfield Board of Works, made the announcement this morning at the board's regular meeting.

The mayor had returned home to undergo hospice care after deciding not to pursue treatment of his latest illness. He had battled liver ailments since shortly before his election in 2011. Pasco suffered liver cancer 14 years ago.
