GREENFIELD — More money is set to be spent on digital materials, hard-copy books and salaries in 2014 at the Hancock County Public Library.
The HCPL board is eyeing a $4.03 million general fund budget next year, up slightly from this year’s $3.98 million budget.
The board will hold a public hearing on the budget at its 7 p.m. meeting today in the Sugar Creek branch. Director Dave Gray said next year officials want to boost the amount of materials and services available to the public.
One area getting a significant boost, for example, is electronic resources. At $201,000 slated to be spent in 2014, that’s up about $36,000 from this year.
