GREENFIELD — With the last gasp of Hurricane Isaac lagging west of Indiana longer than expected, Labor Day weekend wasn’t as soggy as expected in Hancock County.

The National Weather Service recorded a range of 1 to 2 inches of rain throughout the county as a result of the storm, meteorologist Chad Swain said Monday. That’s well below the 2 to 5 inches initially expected to fall in central Indiana.
