GREENFIELD — A man accused of hiding in a local McDonald’s until closing, then robbing the fast-food restaurant, has been arrested.
Dominique Carter, 20, of Indianapolis, allegedly robbed the McDonald’s on CR 600W near the Interstate 70 interchange around 11:05 p.m. on Aug. 14, about five minutes after the restaurant had closed, court documents state. Employees told police Carter must have been hiding somewhere in the restaurant because all the doors had been locked at closing.
The robber, who was talking on his cellphone during the robbery, brandished a black and silver handgun and ordered employees to the back of the restaurant where a manager was working, according to court documents. He ordered the manager to open a safe and put the contents, including cash, in a small trash can, court documents state. He then fled on foot from the scene.
