GREENFIELD — With just a few hours remaining Monday before Santa double checked the bungee cords and Rudolph lit it up for the annual holiday circumnavigation to spread Christmas joy, local kids were still trying to get a piece of The Big Man’s ear by calling his boss, Mrs. C, on the Ho Ho Hotline.

Now in its fifth year, Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation once again played host to Mrs. Claus – or at least four women who looked just like her, as far as anyone actually knows – to staff the red hotline phone. Monday was the last day for the hotline to be open.
