CUMBERLAND — Residents on Hancock County’s west side could see a water rate hike of up to 60 percent.
Customers of Gem Utilities say that’s a tough piece of news to swallow, especially when their sewer rates are already high.
But Cumberland Town Manager Jeff Sheridan says the increase is necessary to keep the small utility afloat.
