Cougars beat Fox Creek for first win

Greenfield-Central split two games at the seventh annual Bob Wettig Memorial Tournament Friday.

The Cougars fell to Portage 58-51 in a consolation bracket semifinal after topping Fox Creek Christian (Ky.) 71-57 Friday afternoon for their first victory of the season.

G-C (1-8) will play East Central (2-6) today at 2 p.m. at the Earlham College Wellness Center for third place in the consolation bracket. The Cougars lost their first game of the tournament 81-50 to Norwell Thursday night.
