GREENFIELD — Now that a solution could be in sight for the decades-old problem of flooding in downtown Greenfield, questions turn toward how to fund such an extensive project.
Rerouting Potts Ditch will help stop frequent flooding in the downtown area, but at a cost of nearly $10 million. An engineering study commissioned to find possible solutions was presented to the Board of Works and City Council this week. Both boards acknowledged the need for the improvements, but said funding will be a challenge.
