GREENFIELD — Russell Strickland will be remembered as “a perfect little man – all the girls are daffy about him.”

The 1910 Greenfield High School senior class president is among thousands of names and faces being digitally saved in a yearbook preservation project at the Hancock County Public Library. From the high collars of the 1910s to the big bangs of the 1990s, quirky details from Hancock County’s past are being preserved for generations to come.

The HCPL took advantage of a free program to save old yearbooks in a digital format, so eventually the entire collection can be  put online for public research.
