Farmers Helping Others
Feeding bodies and minds: New Palestine farmer Ryan Wiedenhaupt was a winner in the Monsanto Fund America’s Farmers Grow Communities drawing held in counties, including Hancock, which were affected by last summer’s drought. The prize was $2,500 donations to local non-profit organizations of the winner’s choice. He chose the Hancock County Food Pantry and the Hancock County 4-H Agricultural Association. Pictured are (from left) Joe Sharp of Stewart Seeds, Jack Goff of Hancock County Food Pantry, Wiedenhaupt, and Doug Maxwell of the 4-H Ag Association.
