GREENFIELD — Brady Johnson eagerly stretches his hand in the air, hoping to be picked to read aloud. When the first-grader’s teacher doesn’t call on him, he begins to bounce up and down on the exercise ball beneath him, hoping to catch her attention.
The extra movement you’ll find in a room where seats have been replaced with exercise balls might seem like a distraction. But to teacher Trina Griesmeyer, that little bit of motion can make all the difference in keeping her students engaged.
