CHARLOTTESVILLE — If one word could be used to describe Eastern Hancock Elementary School’s plan to boost student test scores this year, it would be “rigor.”

Principal Amanda Pyle used the word multiple times during a presentation on her school improvement plan at Monday’s school board meeting.
