GREENFIELD — Volunteer opportunities were in abundance Wednesday as 26 area service organizations and businesses went looking for help at the eighth annual Hancock County Volunteer Fair.

Fair organizers said they were pleased with the turnout and energy level at the Hancock County Public Library in Greenfield, which hosted and co-sponsored the event.

Residents from teens to almost-retirees considered a broad range of volunteer openings during the four-hour event.

United Way of Central Indiana and Leadership Hancock County joined the library in sponsoring Wednesday’s fair with donation assistance from the Greenfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Hancock Regional Hospital and Ameriana Bank.
