MUNCIE — Jake Greenberg scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Delta boys’ basketball team to its second Hoosier Heritage Conference win of the season Friday, 66-39 over Greenfield-Central.
The Eagles improved to 10-6 overall and 2-4 in the HHC, while the Cougars dropped to 1-14 on the year and 1-5 in conference. Pendleton Heights (16-2, 7-0) wrapped up the HHC title Friday with a win over Yorktown, while Shelbyville (0-15, 0-6) remained in the cellar following a loss to New Palestine.
For the Cougars, Mason Irbe (12 points) and Jordan Keener (nine points) led the way.
Peyton Falls had 10 points for G-C in a 40-41 junior varsity loss.
The Cougars will try to rebound today when they visit Greenwood 1-13. The Woodmen edged G-C last year 62-60.
