Debates will feature candidates for sheriff, prosecutor

GREENFIELD — Contenders in two key races in the upcoming primary election will meet in debates starting next week with a debate between the two Republican candidates for sheriff.

Incumbent Sheriff Mike Shepherd and challenger Donnie Munden will square off at 5 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the Hancock County Public Library. The second debate will feature the candidates for Hancock County prosecutor, incumbent Michael Griffin and challenger Brent Eaton. It will be at 5 p.m. Friday, April 18, also at the library.

The debates are sponsored by the Daily Reporter and the library. The events will be recorded by the broadcasting department at Greenfield-Central High School for telecast at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. the following Mondays on NineStar Connect’s cable system.

The debates will be moderated by David Hill, editor of the Daily Reporter. The debates will last one hour.
