GREENFIELD — A handful of local nonprofits are feeling a boost today after a record number of volunteers participated in United Way of Central Indiana’s annual Day of Caring.
Close to 140 people went to work Friday throughout Hancock County, completing 10 service projects, assisting local United Way partner agencies and Greenfield-Central schools.
Projects ranged from helping out in elementary classrooms to washing cars to electrical work.
