The three candidates vying for Congress in Indiana's newly-drawn 6th District debated at Ball State University Tuesday evening.
Republican Luke Messer, Democrat Brad Bookout and Libertarian Rex Bell answered questions on government spending, foreign policy, education and more.
Messer cross-examined Bookout on his stance on federal healthcare reform, saying at an event last month Bookout disagreed with so-called "Obamacare." Bookout said that was at a tea party event when he was out of his element, while Messer said he will have the same stance on issues wherever he is.
Hancock County is one of 19 counties in the district.
