GREENFIELD — The girls high school basketball season ended last weekend, but the middle schoolers have one more battle left. And, girl, it should be a good one. The undefeated 8th grade Cougars from Greenfield Junior High will meet the undefeated Eastern Hancock Royals 8th graders in the Hancock County Tournament semifinals Monday at approximately 7 p.m. at GCJHS. (The game will follow the 7th grade game, which begins at 5:30 p.m.) Greenfield is 18-0; Eastern Hancock is 19-0. Both teams won their respective conference titles and, for the Royals, the 19 wins are the most ever for any EH girls program at any level.
