GREENFIELD — Greenfield Utilities customers could be spending an average of $11 more each month to wash dishes and do laundry.

On Saturday, the Greenfield City Council heard about two proposed utility rate increases. While a sewer rate hike seems inevitable to pay for the pricey reconstruction of Potts Ditch, officials are considering a second rate increase to pay for the general operations of the water department.
