GREENFIELD — A committee studying take-home vehicles for city employees got some push-back from department heads Tuesday.

While the city council-based committee’s first meeting earlier this month was quiet, Tuesday’s meeting included about a dozen department heads and city employees, several of whom would be affected if the take-home perk is changed.

“I’m on call 24/7,” said Jim Hahn, superintendent of the city’s street department. “Do you want me to call you every time my phone rings?”
