From pooches’ smooches to a day in the pool (dog-paddling, of course), dogs and the people who love them took over Riley Park on Saturday. The occasion was a pair of events, Dog Days of Summer, put on the Greenfield-Hancock County Animal Management; and the P.A.W.S. Pool Party. Both were designed to celebrate four-legged companions and promote adoptions. Dog Days featured several activities – including a kissing booth – and visitors could view pets up for adoption. The P.A.W.S. event, held at Riley Park Pool as it closed for the season, was a fundraiser for the county animal welfare organization.
