Hancock County Surveyor Susan Bodkin (center) recently received a Surveyor of the Year award by the County Surveyors Association of Indiana.

GREENFIELD — Hancock County Surveyor Susan Bodkin chuckles that her staff has been sneaky lately.

Unbeknownst to her, they had been putting together a short biography to be read before county leaders from across the state. That biography was read as a surprise to Bodkin, when her name was called as “2012 Outstanding County Surveyor” at a conference of the Association of Indiana Counties.
