GREENFIELD — So many people are still needed to work at polls May 8 that the county election board is considering appointing Republicans to fill Democratic vacancies.

The board will discuss that at a special meeting at 9:45 a.m. Monday, in addition to the idea of allowing students who are not registered to vote to work at the polls.
