NEW PALESTINE — With trembling hands and a shaky voice, the 14-year-old Doe Creek Middle School student addressed the Southern Hancock School Board. She fought back tears as she implored the board to put an end to a series of incidents and threats at school that has left her fearful even to enter the building.
“I’m terrified to walk into that school,” she said. “I’m terrified to stay in my classes; I’m terrified to go into the hall. I’m terrified to even ride my bus.”
