GREENFIELD — With seed money in the bank, organizers for the Women’s Resource Center, a new initiative to empower area women, are wrapping up their search for an executive director.
The posting for the position ends Friday; however, applications will be accepted until March 7, said Christy Hilton, who chairs the executive search committee and sits on the new board for the center.
To date, the committee has received 22 applications from throughout the state, Indianapolis and Hancock County, Hilton said.
“We’re very excited. We worked very hard on the job description,” Hilton said.
The new director will be tasked with overseeing the operation of the center, working with area women who have been identified to utilize the center’s services, advising the board and soliciting community partnerships.
