Planners for nearly 10 years have envisioned an improved corridor from I-70 to U.S. 52. With the availability of federal funds, the county is prepared to embark on Phase 2 of the plan.


GREENFIELD — A road expansion project that’s been planned for a decade is moving forward with the help of a federal grant.

CR 600W south of U.S. 40 will be widened, and shoulders will be added. Part of the overall Mt. Comfort Road corridor plan, the project will move forward because Hancock County received $540,000 in federal funds to purchase right of way.
