Here’s my ballot in this week’s Associated Press boys basketball media poll. The poll will be released Monday.

Class 4A

1st Place: Carmel (12-1)

2nd Place: Columbus North (14-1)

3rd Place: Indianapolis Pike (13-2)

4th Place: Indianapolis Tech (14-1)

5th Place: Indianapolis N. Central (9-4)

6th Place: Hamilton Southeastern (12-1)

7th Place: Munster (15-0)

8th Place: Indianapolis Ben Davis (10-3)

9th Place: Merrillville (11-1)

10th Place: Kokomo (12-2)

Notes: Carmel beat Pike 69-58 Wednesday. Greyhounds will host Ben Davis Saturday and visit Lawrence North (10-3) Feb. 1. … Tech riding a 12-game win streak, although only five of those wins are against Class 4A competition. Tech will face 4A Cathedral (9-5) Monday night in the Indianapolis city championship. The Titans have defeated the Irish twice already this season. … Hamilton Southeastern and Tech will meet Saturday at HSE.


Class 3A

1st Place: Mt.Vernon (Fortville) (12-0)

2nd Place: Ev. Bosse (12-3)

3rd Place: Andrean (12-1)

4th Place: Greensburg (12-1)

5th Place: Batesville (11-1)

6th Place: Plymouth (11-2)

7th Place: Lebanon (10-2)

8th Place: Ft. Wayne Concordia (11-3)

9th Place: Indianapolis Brebeuf (8-5)

10th Place: Guerin Catholic (11-4)

Notes: Brebeuf beat defending state champ Guerin 55-47 Friday. Mt. Vernon, Brebeuf and Guerin belong to Sectional 26, to be hosted by MV. … Andrean suffered its first loss Wednesday, 68-57, at 4A Chesterton (9-5). … Evansville Bosse (77.13 ppg) and 4A Pike are tied for third among state team scoring leaders. 3A’s Leo (79.77) and Gary Wallace (78.07) are the top scoring teams.


Class 2A

1st Place: Indianapolis Park Tudor (13-1)

2nd Place: Tipton (14-1)

3rd Place: Hammond Noll (13-0)

4th Place: Providence (12-1)

5th Place: Hagerstown (13-0)

6th Place: Bowman Academy (6-7)

7th Place: Clarksville (11-3)

8th Place: Linton-Stockton (11-2)

9th Place: Sullivan (12-3)

10th Place: Speedway (11-3)

Notes: Park Tudor smoked Speedway 81-51 Tuesday. … Speedway is 1-3 the last four games after opening the season at 10-0. … Bowman Academy, continuing with one of the state’s toughest schedules, defeated 4A Fort Wayne Northrop (13-3) Saturday, 74-73. … Hagerstown, which hasn’t won a sectional since 1965, is one of six undefeated teams remaining, along with 4A Munster, 3A Mt. Vernon, Hammond Noll in 2A and Waldron and Rockville in Class A.


Class A

1st Place: Rockville (16-0)

2nd Place: Ft. Wayne Canterbury (8-4)

3rd Place: Barr-Reeve (14-1)

4th Place: Loogootee (13-2)

5th Place: Waldron (13-0)

6th Place: Edinburgh (9-2)

7th Place: Ev. Day (10-3)

8th Place: Michigan City Marquette (9-4)

9th Place: Pioneer (10-3)

Notes: The top-ranked Rox are allowing only 39.31 points per game, fifth best in the state behind 2A Providence (35.08), 4A Jay County (35.21), 1A Barr-Reeve (36.40) and 1A Caston (37.57). … An 0-3 start to the season has kept Caston (10-4) out of the top 10 this year, but if they keep their current hot streak going with a win Friday at Pioneer, the Comets will start receiving votes. … FW Canterbury, whose four losses are to 3A/4A competition, will visit 3A FW Concordia (11-3) Saturday.
