GREENFIELD — The Hancock County 4-H Fair’s early competitions continued Thursday with public speaking and demonstration projects. Project performances were held at Elanco – a first for a project that has been trying to find a home for years.

Superintendent Cindy Jacobs said she has been on the hunt for a good location for several years. The outdoor 4-H Bowl is too noisy. The Purdue Extension office is too small. She thought holding the presentations early and staging it in the 4-H Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall would do the trick, but with a large number of participants last year, the event stretched past 10 p.m.

The availability of several rooms at Elanco seemed the perfect solution.
