CHARLOTTESVILLE — The Jackson Achievers met Feb. 7 at the Charlottesville Lion’s Club with 15 members present, and Denver Campbell presiding.
David Fields led the Pledge of Allegiance and Campbell led the 4-H Pledge. Roll was called to favorite books.
Campbell gave a demonstration on how to fill out record books.
New officers were elected: Denver Campbell, President; Annie Floyd, Vice President; Tara Nolan, Secretary; Elise Huffman, Treasurer; David Fields, Recreation Officer; Lindsay Fields, Reporter; Daniel Campbell, Devotions Officer; Madi Lynn Gary, Health and Safety.
Co-leader Teressa Addison provided a science project on friction.
Club members discussed their service project, which is building disaster kits and making donations to the food pantry.
The meeting adjourned to the game “Moose Moose Kachow,” led by Lindsay Fields, and refreshments by Teressa Addison.
The next meeting will be held on March 7, with the meeting place to be announced.
Rabbit Club to meet March 4
GREENFIELD — The Hancock County 4-H Rabbit Club will hold its first meeting of the year 7 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.
This meeting is for all regular and mini-4-H members, but rabbits should not be brought to this meeting.
The leaders will conduct an orientation and discuss future events. Information will be provided on purchasing 4-H rabbits. For more information, contact David Wildman at (317) 467-4889.
