GREENFIELD — After five years at the corner of East and Main streets in Greenfield, 2nd Seasons Consignment Shop will close its doors and go out with the New Year.

Shop owner Dee Dellacca said the decision to shutter the shop was difficult, but ultimately the returns from the business did not outweigh the amount of time it required her to be away from family.

“I left the corporate world in order to spend more time with my family, but it didn’t turn out that way,” Dellacca said.

The former hospital reimbursement senior analyst lost her business partner shortly after 2nd Seasons opened, and that development changed the business dynamic significantly, requiring her to spend more time at the business than she originally anticipated, she said.

The recent addition of a new baby to the family put even greater demands on an already tight schedule, she said.

A few recent attempts to find a buyer or investor for the business did not pan out, so Dellacca decided it was time to face the tough decision.
