McCORDSVILLE — Two men who police say robbed the CVS Pharmacy on Thursday morning were apprehended shortly after the heist.

One of the men entered the store at 5981 W. Broadway around 10:30 a.m. Thursday and handed the pharmacist a note demanding drugs, McCordsville Police Department Assistant Chief Paul Casey said.

It was not immediately clear whether a weapon was displayed or if the man implied he was armed.

The pharmacist handed over the medication, and the man left the store. Police did not specify what kind of drugs was stolen.

CVS employees immediately called police and provided a description of the getaway car, and McCordsville Officer Gary Garner spotted the suspects’ vehicle on Ind. 67 minutes later.
