GREENFIELD — Now is the time to make a move against the Affordable Care Act, Congressman Luke Messer told a lively crowd at a town hall meeting Wednesday in Greenfield.
But just what to do remains a conundrum, as the Republican-controlled House has voted multiple times to repeal the law, commonly known as Obamacare. Now, the Republicans’ strategy has shifted: They are considering defunding the act entirely.
“The issue I hear most right now as I travel around the district is the issue of Obamacare,” said Messer, a Republican from Shelbyville whose 6th Congressional District includes Greenfield. “We are in a time where this argument is now coming to a head.”
