To the editor:

As we approach Christmas, the Board of Directors of the Riley Festival would like to thank the community for coming out and making this year’s Christmas Festival one of the best yet. It was amazing to see people gathered around the Christmas tree in anticipation of the lighting and cheer after it was lit.

We would like to thank all of those who helped make Greenfield’s Christmas Festival and Parade of Lights, including the ladies of Greenfield Christian Church who helped make the breakfast with Santa a wonderful experience for our children.

Thank you to Bob and Beverly Hunt of the Creative Arts and Event Center for hosting our children’s arts and crafts, where children delighted in making ornaments to take home; the gingerbread contest, which were beautiful creations; and the Hancock County Extension Homemakers’ cookie sale.

Our thanks also goes out to the First Presbyterian Church for hosting the Little Miss Snowflake and Illuminated Snow Queen Pageants.

This event could not happen without the support of the City of Greenfield. They did a wonderful job decorating downtown and getting the Courthouse Plaza ready for Santa and his house.

Mayor Fewell, we can’t thank you enough for your support of both the Riley Festival and the Christmas Festival. We hope to see you all next year as we have already started the planning process.

Sincerely,

The Riley Festival Board of Directors
