Franklin E. McCarter Sr., 74, died Friday July 20, 2012, in Noblesville. He was a resident of Sheridan.
Survivors include his two children, Franklin (Judith) McCarter Jr. of McCordsville and Jesse J. McCarter of Greenfield; sister, Mary Wright of Greenfield; brother, David Wright of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry E. and Mary (Dancen) McCarter.
Visitation will be from Noon until the funeral service which will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. Hwy 31 North. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
